Mozart in the Afternoon concert will take place on 4th April 2017 at Cadogan Hall. Conducted by Alan Tongue, The Beecham Orchestra (leader the renowned violinist Richard Friedman) along with pianist Iain Farrington (who performed for the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony) will present three pieces by Mozart.
Works include:

Divertimento in F, K. 138 will allow the strings to shine

Piano Concerto No. 13 in C, K. 415, ‘magnificent but underrated’ in the words of American musicologist HC Robbins Landon

Symphony No. 41 in C, K. 551 ‘The Jupiter’, Mozart’s last and greatest symphony, to close this exclusive concert

The concert will introduce a new form of “ephemeral orchestra” gathering together some of the UK’s top soloists and musicians to perform well-loved yet unexpected programmes
