We will once again be organising our own bike ride this year and very much hope that you will want to take part. This year we plan to cycle from London to Bath over the weekend of Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th June 2017.

We will in fact be ‘going on a bear hunt’ as our regular cycling supporter Jonathan is taking Leyton, the bear he found abandoned by the roadside, for a bath in Bath. They will be setting off a day or two early and we will be trying to find them!

Saturday 24: London to Newbury
Sunday 25: Newbury to Bath

You can join us for one day, or you can do both days, it’s up to you. Each day will involve about 60 miles of cycling.

Our rides are always very friendly events, with lots of help, support and encouragement along the way – so come along, take part and help raise much needed funds for Afasic!

Bike ride options and registration fees
For one day cyclists we will provide maps and directions, support vehicle, bike mechanic, first aider, snacks and drinks, lunch, and lots of encouragement along the way. [Pay £15 registration & raise a minimum £60 sponsorship or pay £40 and raise what you can].

Those doing the full event will get all of the above, plus overnight B & B accommodation in Newbury (dinner in the evening at your own cost). [Pay £25 registration & raise a minimum £125 sponsorship or pay £105 and raise what you can].

Useful information
Travel to the start and home from the finish is the rider’s responsibility. All start and finish points are accessible by train.

We will provide everyone with sponsor forms and can offer lapel stickers, balloons, sticky bugs, collecting tins, and tips on fundraising and will support your fundraising efforts as much as possible.

We very much hope that you will want to join us and look forward to seeing you there.

“The organisation really was terrific, we felt spoilt!” John.
