The American entry into the First World War was one of the key turning points in the history of the 20th century.
This workshop will explore the tortuous process which brought the United States into the war alongside Britain and France.
Looking at seminal events, such as the sinking of the Lusitania and the Zimmermann Telegram, it will go on to look at the impact of American entry into the conflict.
The event will allow you to get hands on with some of The National Archives’ extraordinary documents charting the development of the relationship between Britain and the United States of America.
