The Wellcome Book Prize and Curzon are delighted to announce a preview screening of Katell Quillévéré’s Heal the Living.
Katell Quillévéré's remarkable ensemble drama is adapted from the internationally acclaimed novel Mend the Living by Maylis de Kerangal, currently shortlisted for this year’s Wellcome Book Prize. Exploring the metaphysical zone between life and death, it is the story of Simon Limbeau’s heart – and the story of all the lives it will impact in the 24 hours between the accident that cuts short his life, and the moment when his heart will begin to beat again in the body of someone else.
To celebrate Mend the Living’s place on the Wellcome Book Prize shortlist, the screening will be followed by a panel discussion exploring how science connects, inspires and engages with film and literature.
