Singer/songwriter Rebecca Hollweg has a real jazz sensibility with the songs that she writes and arranges and, like her great influence James Taylor, is most comfortable working with jazz musicians. She released her first album in 2001, which was very well received by critics and led to appearances on various BBC Radio shows and to tours with the likes of Roger McGuinn (The Byrds) and Paul Carrack (Squeeze). After taking some time out to have a baby Rebecca returned to the scene in the 2008 with the completion of her second album “Orange Roses” produced by her husband, bassist Andy Hamill. Since then she has performed extensively both in the UK and abroad, including festivals at Rochefort en Accords in France, Vamos Festival in Crete and 5 and 55 Festival, Wijk an See in Holland plus numerous other gigs in France and Germany as well as the likes of the South Bank Centre, Union Chapel and Latitude Festival in the UK. Her latest CD, “Country Girl” received 8/10 by UNCUT Magazine, calling it “another delightful batch of tunes”, and the record has attracted airplay by Jamie Cullum and Janice Long on BBC Radio 2, as well as a profile of Rebecca on BBC World Service. Playing live, she is open and unpretentious, and as one listener said ‘it feels like she is reaching out and enfolding you in a warm embrace’. The band today is made up of some of the finest players on the scene, Phil Peskett-piano, Andy Hamill-bass and Justin Woodward-drums.

“Just a beautiful sound, great vibe…absolutely stunning” BBC Radio 2; “Carole King couldn’t have come up with a better...song” Uncut; “A gifted tunesmith” Q Magazine; “'Exquisite vocal” Guardian
