Get your hands on the Battenbun: Easter's hottest hybrid bake

Brace yourself for the Battenbun, hot out of the oven and slated to be the Holy Grail hybrid of two traditional English tea time treats: the sweet and spicy hot cross bun and sugary Battenberg cake.

The sensational Battenbun has been specially created by celebrity chef Anna Olson to mark the third season of her Food Network show, Bake with Anna Olson, which sees Anna inviting viewers into her kitchen to learn the sweet skills and tantalising techniques of baking.

The unique bake features an irresistible blend of almonds, cinnamon, apricots and marzipan, and will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis in East London bakery Lily Vanilli this Easter Sunday, ahead of the series premiere on Monday 24 April.
