On the last Thursday of every month, Tate Modern Terrace Bar is taken over by British craft breweries. Whether you're a craft beer connoisseur or looking to experience something new, at the tap takeovers you can enjoy a evening of trialling and tasting some of the great breweries that Tate works with, as they showcase their newest brews.

April’s edition of our monthly British Brewery Tate Tap Takeover, will be with Tiny Rebel Brewing. Presenting its brand new 2017 beer range, they’ll be transporting the Rebels from Newport, South Wales, and taking a spray can to the taps at Tate Modern tagging each of them with its award-winning and highly sought-after beers.

BREWERY HISTORY
Tiny Rebel Brewing Co. began life in 2008 as two brothers-in-law home-brewing in a garage religiously at weekends, trying every combination and technique physically possible. By 2010, Brad & Gazz had concocted five brews good enough for sale, before work began on a business plan that would take south Wales by storm. It all kicked off in 2012, and in just over two years after that Tiny Rebel won Champion Beer of Wales 2013 and 2014 before winning the ultimate beer prize in Champion Beer of Britain 2015.

With awards increasing demand, the brewery quickly outgrew its 12BBL brewhouse and in 2017 Tiny Rebel will upgrade to a purpose-built 30BBL plant two miles from its original headquarters, with a mission to further push the beer boundaries, just in time for the brewery’s 5th birthday.
