This spring, St Christopher’s Place is celebrating the onset of the outdoor dining season by hosting ‘RISE’ - a plant based installation by artist Anna Garforth.
In place until Saturday 29th April, this weekend sees the last chance to pay a visit to the stunning suspended garden. With a nod to Pantone’s colour of the year ‘Greenery’, St Christopher’s Place has teamed up with Anna Garforth to launch a unique artwork to mark the official arrival of spring. The contemporary London artist uses her diverse skills within design and craft to uniquely capture the aesthetics of nature transforming the world around us.
She has formerly worked with culture leading brands such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Adidas, as well as exhibited internationally in the Dutch Design Museum and Hong Kong’s esteemed ‘Detour’.
The suspended sculpture will consist of a large sphere covered in live moss creating the impression of a floating garden, situated in the iconic laneway of St Christopher’s Place buzzing quarter; ‘RISE’ features ferns, vines and clusters of moss, providing visitors with a visual experience. ‘RISE’ will take on many different forms as the daylight changes and when viewed from different angles and distances.
