Join us for an evening of drinks and conversation between Ed Balls and Dan Jones, discussing Ed's life in and out of politics, his dazzling turn on Strictly Come Dancing and why history and politics matter.

Ed Balls is a former MP, Cabinet Minister and Treasury Chief Economic Adviser. He is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University Kennedy School’s Mossavar-Rahmani Center, Visiting Professor to the Policy Institute at King’s College London, and Chairman of Norwich City FC. He is also a dad, cook, pianist, economist and, former Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

Dan Jones is a bestselling historian, award-winning journalist and TV presenter. He is the author of books including The Plantagenets and The Hollow Crown, and has presented TV shows for the BBC, Channel 5 and Netflix, including Secrets of Great British Castles and Britain’s Bloodiest Dynasty. He writes a weekly column for the Evening Standard and contributes regularly to national newspapers including the Sunday Times, Daily Telegraph and Mail on Sunday. He lives in Surrey.
