Picture and Palette Combine In Simon Claridge’s New Collection

Popular artist, Simon Claridge, is returning to the art world with a brand new silk screen collection. Capturing icons including Audrey Hepburn and Paul McCartney, the collection brings 1960s youth culture forward into the 21st century.

Inspired by the archives of iconic photographer, Terry O’Neill, ‘Diamond Dust’
will launch at Castle Fine Art on South Molton Street on Thursday 18th May between 6pm and 8pm, when Claridge will make a special appearance. The collection will then be on display for a further week.

Terry O’Neill is one of the most celebrated and collected photographers of all time and, in a career spanning more than 50 years, he pioneered the iconic celebrity portrait, becoming famous for his instinct and ability to photograph his subjects in candid, and sometimes unorthodox, poses and locations.

His vision for the Diamond Dust collection was, above all, to retain the essence of the original exposures. Each silkscreen rendering with diamond dust has been executed thoughtfully to showcase the style of both artists, ensuring the editions sit comfortably alongside both O’Neill and Claridge’s previous collections.
