Calling all culture vultures and history aficionados, the bespoke Discover Deptford history walks invite the curious to experience a FREE guided 2-hour walk around the area, exploring the history and redevelopment of Deptford’s station and market yard seeing London’s oldest listed railway structure and Deptford Creek. Learn why Peter The Great, Christopher Marlowe, Samuel Pepys, Victorian poverty-mapper Charles Booth and Tahitian servant Mydidee all visited Deptford and understand its rich multicultural and maritime history underpinning one of London’s most vibrant districts.
