Collaboratively curated by UAL Curation Society and Goldsmiths Visual Cultures Society, The Expanded City revisits Georg Simmel’s The Metropolis and Mental Life, exploring the ways in which life in London is organised and influenced by structures of capitalism as Simmel had, nearly a century ago. The 15 artists examine the conditions of the city and its various effects on our experiences and mental life.

This first-ever collaborative exhibition features works from 15 student-artists across both universities. The private view will be held on 22 May, 7pm joined by guest speaker Dr Louis Morenzo, a lecturer at Goldsmiths.
