Macmillan Cancer Support is delighted to announce the addition of a new Thames Path Mighty Hike to its popular Mighty Hike series.

Hundreds of people will fasten their walking boots for the 26-mile hike on Saturday 29th July to raise vital funds to support people affected by cancer.

The beautiful hiking marathon starts in Windsor, trekking along the beautiful banks of the greatest river in England and finishing in Henley-on-Thames.

The challenging walk is suitable for both keen ramblers and novice walkers (with some training), and there will be full Team Macmillan support along the route.

Lunch, dinner and snacks will also be provided – as well as a glass of bubbly on the finish line.

Rachel Docherty, Area Fundraising Manager for West Berkshire and North West Hampshire at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “This looks set to be a great day - full of energy, enthusiasm and laughter – and importantly every step you take and every pound you raise will help Macmillan provide support to people affected by cancer”
