Acclaimed guest chefs join The Groucho Club to celebrate
London Food Month.
The Groucho Club, the original arts & media private members club in the heart of Soho announces a series of unique culinary pop ups, as the Club takes part in the UK’s biggest food festival, the London Evening Standard’s Food Month.
Throughout June, The Groucho Club welcomes London’s foodies to join its members and indulge in gastronomic delights from internationally-acclaimed chefs.
Each weekend, The Groucho Club welcomes three renowned chefs to takeover the kitchen, offering cuisines from across the globe.
Guests will enjoy three courses from these leading chefs, each bringing their unique style and flavour to the Club.
June 3rd : Victor Garvey charms The Groucho Club with classic Spanish cuisine
Garvey’s restaurant, Encant, found in the bustling heart of Covent Garden brings Catalonian charm to The Groucho Club with a paella-based lunch extravaganza. Victor endeavours to offer those who dine with him a truly Spanish experience, with dishes inspired by his upbringing as well as his travels. Ahead of the opening of his new restaurant, Rambla on Dean Street later this year, Victor will find a second home in The Groucho Club’s Backroom, where the open plan kitchen mirrors the welcoming, informal vibe of his Covent Garden restaurant.
June 10th : Ren Patel brings spice to Soho
Ren regularly takes over the kitchens of London’s most popular eateries, supplying a sensory adventure with her in-depth knowledge of spice and her passion for healthy, authentic Indian food prepared from scratch. Known for developing new and unique dishes with a spin on traditional favourites, Ren’s signature dish is her Fantastic Chicken Curry. With her culinary treats tried and tested through her boutique cookery school, guests are guaranteed a sensory journey through Ren’s spice box with every morsel.
June 24th : Tom Oldroyd brings the best of the season to The Groucho Club
Former Chef Director of the Polpo group, distinguished chef Tom Oldroyd launched his first solo restaurant, OLDROYD, in 2015. This highly-acclaimed, seasonal British restaurant offers a European menu which changes on a daily basis, and uses ingredients almost entirely locally-sourced. Tom is a long time member of the Club since he travelled to Ibiza to host a Groucho dinner in 2012, and will be right at home as he welcomes members and guests alike to join him for scrumptiously relaxed food this June.
Tickets for each pop up are £35 per person for a three course lunch, with both members and guests welcome.
