From Roman civilization and Tudor kings, to works of industry and famous faces; discover the meaning behind the Tenter Ground, where the word Stepney came from and if Kitcat Terrace really is named after a chocolate bar! (It’s not!)
Explore the history of East London through its varied and revealing street names.
Every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the Summer Holidays our doors will be open for families to get creative with our drop-in activities throughout the Museum.
The Victorian Classroom, East End Kitchen and Under 5s Ragamuffin Room will also be open as usual, as well as our Towpath café for a spot of tea!
Admission and all activities are free! Donations are welcome.
