Raised in a musical family Louise moved to London after her University studies and rapidly established for herself a solid reputation on the Soul and singer/songwriter scene. Her first recordings were released in 2008 and in that same year she was a finalist in the Indy Music Awards and her music video 'How It Is' (which she also recorded in French) was nominated in the UK Music Video Awards. Not a bad start. Since then her powerful, clear, soulful voice has been heard with the likes of Jessie J, Paloma Faith, Omar, Alexander O'Neal, The Drifters, Loose Ends, Roy Ayers and Ed Sheeran, and she performs regularly under her own name at the likes of Ronnie Scott’s, The Hippodrome and the Jazz Café. She has opened for Roberta Flack at Indigo2, George Benson at Kenwood House, and Earth, Wind and Fire at the Royal Albert Hall and supported the Stylistics on their recent UK tour. Festival appearances include France (Musique Cordiale Festival, Provence) and Germany (Hamburg) as well as The Isle Of Wight and the London Jazz Festivals and, of course, Glastonbury. She produced her first album, “Novel”, in 2015 and her music can be heard regularly on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music and BBC London and she is a firm favourite on Jazz FM, Mi-Soul and Capital Xtra. Louise was introduced to us here by 606 favourite Mo Pleasure, the multi-instrumentalist/producer (and former Music Director of Earth, Wind & Fire), and you get the idea, she's pretty good! Her music is primarily originals with some classics thrown in to the mix which she likes to describe as "... neo-soul or as I like to call it UK Soul!" and unsurprisingly, she is accompanied by some of the best of the younger neo-soul musicians around, including Adam Rust-keyboard/piano, Matt Waters-guitar, Neil Flynn-bass and James Titshall-drums. Louise is latest addition to the 606 Club family of impressive singers and highly recommended.

"This...young singer takes it up a notch with...a whole heap of sassy soulfulness.....definitely something worthwhile here and her endearing personality should put a smile on most peoples faces!" Blues & Soul
