Dark Side of the Mime

Dark Side of the Mime is a clown show by Jacques Lecoq -trained actor and mime artist Marc Gassot and his accompanist, keyboard – virtuoso Karl Sinkkonen. This show mixes clownery with classic pantomime, porn, splatter, and violence. It is audacious. The physicality of it takes you by surprise. Indeed, it is vulgar, and that is why the show is rated 18. Even though all obscene scenes happen in one’s head.

In its home country Finland people love this show. It has toured extensively around the country since its premiere in 2014. The show won The Best Theatrical Act of Finland in 2014 and Finnish colleagues voted Marc Gassot The Actor of the year 2014.
