Rosalind Plowright is one of the most celebrated artists of our time. Her career spans more than 35 years. She was acclaimed as one of the world’s great spinto sopranos and specialising in roles such as Medee, Alceste and Norma as well as the great Verdi and Puccini heroines.

Rosalind Plowright was awarded the OBE in 2007 for her sevices to music.
Opera Prelude is a small charity passionate about supporting young professional opera singers who give lecture recitals in London. These friendly and inclusive events will introduce you to the international opera singers of tomorrow by way of recitals, concerts and masterclasses.
