Lonely Robot, the project masterminded by producer, guitarist and singer/songwriter John Mitchell (It Bites, Frost*, Arena), released their much-anticipated second studio album ‘The Big Dream’ in May, reaching number 6 in the UK Rock Albums chart. Now they are pleased to announce 3 Prog Magazine-sponsored, UK headline dates in August. Joining them on all 3 dates will be TILT, featuring Lonely Robot live band member and bass player for Fish, Steve Vantsis and in London only they will be joined by Southampton’s melodic, progressive trio Kepler Ten.
John Mitchell is a multi-instrumentalist who predominantly sings and plays guitar, Mitchell is a member of several popular progressive rock bands, including Frost*, It Bites and Arena. John releases his solo music under the pseudonym Lonely Robot. John also masterminded the bands Kino and The Urbane and played bass for alternative rock band A.
Lonely Robot will be brought to life on stage with Craig Blundell (Steven Wilson) on drums, Steve Vantsis (Fish, Tilt) on bass & Liam Holmes (Touchstone) on keyboards
John has performed live with the likes of John Wetton (Asia) and Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) to name a few.
John is also a record producer and sound engineer at Outhouse Studios, his own recording studio in Reading, UK, where he has recorded and produced music for a number of mainstream rock artists including Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, Steven Wilson, Don Broco, Lower Than Atlantis, Architects, The Blackout, Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral for a Friend, Deaf Havana and many more.

TILT are Steve Vantsis, Dave Stewart, Robin Boult, Paul Humphreys and Paul Dourley. Steve, Dave and Robin are probably best known for being in ex-Marillion singer Fish's band, helping to write and record his solo albums as well as being involved in many world tours spanning over 20 years. Tilt have only performed twice so far. Their first gig was in March at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End festival then at the beginning of April at de Boerderij Prog Dreams festival in the Netherlands. For these shows, Robin will be replaced by Richard Watson while he is on tour with Howard Jones.
Kepler Ten are a new and powerful melodic and progressive hard rock band. Kepler Ten's debut album 'Delta-v' was mixed and mastered by John Mitchell and was released on February 10th 2017. The bands influences are diverse. Muse, Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Van Halen and even some Queen.
