Sick of events pretending to be anything other than shameless promotion and/or events with a real purpose? Well, even if you’re not, look no further than the totally agenda-free Museum of Lies, a week-long pop-up museum, bar and hangout in the heart of London’s trendy Mayfair (“the Queen’s Shoreditch”) from 25-29th of July.

In the historic, picturesque and brothel-bordered Shepherd Market, the museum and its lies will cover ancient, modern, natural and unnatural history and even look to the future with a the state of the art ‘Ask Me Anything A.I.,’ a terrible time machine and frothy future trends such as Flair Beertending.

Alongside the exhibits, gift shop and BYOsnacks museum cafe, this micro-museum hosts its own bar -‘Peruse with Booze’ - which should help visitors get to grips with some of the more bizarre pieces. Classic drinks from boring beers to espresso martinis will be served with several twists and paired with brand new cocktails such as the (G)old Fishioned (made with what we believe kept the world’s oldest goldfish alive for so long). The bar also exhibits an ancient Fairy Fountain flowing with delicious alcoholic elixir for thirsty guests to try. Drinks start at £3.

Downstairs, you’ll find the small but perfectly formed “Natural History & Karaoke Cave!” complete with a inhalable Night Nurse cocktail vent.

We’ve got an exhibition for everyone:
