BLOOD: Life Uncut, an exhibition and event series that reveals the captivating, visceral power of blood to expose, shock and save lives.
Blood Equality, by New York artist Jordan Eagles, is a series of light installations that illuminate blood donated by Gay men. Blood Equality is a new iteration of Eagles’ Blood Equality Campaign which advocates for new policy in relation to blood donation: In the UK and the USA, gay men are prohibited from donating blood unless they have been celibate for a year. There is an ongoing global discussion about whether this policy is supported by medical science and Eagles’ campaign calls for legislation based on science not stigma.
Visitors are invited to take a selfie bathed in blood and join the #BloodEquality campaign.
