Richard Hadfield Live at Soho’s Hip Basement Jazz Club The Spice of Life

Former Collabro star Richard Hadfield, will be performing live at The Spice of Life, Soho’s hip basement Jazz bar, on Moor Street on Wednesday 9th August.

Hadfield’s meteoric rise within the music scene began as part of the musical theatre boy band Collabro. The Britain’s Got Talent winners were promptly signed up by Simon Cowell’s SYCO and the group enjoyed tremendous success with two top 10 albums and a sell-out world tour. Since then, Richard has been voted the ‘BGT Favourite Ever Winner’ twice, travelled around the world, sung with the London Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras and is now building a successful solo career, making waves on the London jazz scene as he blends familiar melodies with the innovative warmth of jazz.

Richard Hadfield will be performing alongside Karl Charity, vocalist and talented trumpeter, in a vocal jazz double-bill. Richard will be on stage between 8.00pm - 9.00pm, with Karl Charity performing between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

The show will include a number of choice jazz standards, alongside renditions of some famous chart toppers, and unique jazzed up versions of hits from musicals such as Phantom of the Opera. These top male vocalists will both be performing with the swinging Chris Eldred Trio in a show that promises to WOW!

SPICEJAZZ promoter Paul Pace has been presenting live jazz at the Spice of Life club since 1998. The basement bar of this centrally located Soho pub with a capacity of 100 people has an intimacy and atmosphere evoking the world’s best jazz clubs.
