Sound of Summer Semi Final

Several bands with undiscovered hidden talent have beaten off stiff competition throughout London and made it through to the regional finals at O’Neill’s Wardour Street as part of the national Sound of Summer competition.

These bands impressed guests at their local O’Neill’s venues and were voted through to the regional final at each of their heats.

They could now follow in the footsteps of a number of other superstars who have performed at various O’Neill’s venues throughout the UK and you could be there to witness this brand new talent emerge.

Huge names such as the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Rod Stewart have performed at its famous Wardour Street venue, which was recently awarded a Blue Plaque. What’s more, it was the backdrop to David Bowie’s MTV video ‘Blue Jeans’, as well as the recording location of Georgie Fame’s the Night train.

Tara, Dolan, Local Manager of O’Neill’s Wardour Street, said: “O’Neill’s has a long tradition of giving bands their first break on the live circuit but the standard we have seen this year is exceptional. All of the brands have shown great talent and prowess and we can’t wait to host the regional finals to see who emerges on top and gets through to the grand national final.’

The winning band in Sound of Summer will receive an incredible prize package including £6k cash, a slot in the Jaegerhaus at a UK leading festival, as well as enough precious studio time to record their first big hit.
