For the first time ever, we’re hosting a night of some of the most exciting pop/soul and funk talent at Islington’s O2 Academy2, headlined by a very exciting new talent!

Cecil is a promising young singer-songwriter from Berkshire who has been championed regionally by BBC Introducing and has featured on BBC Radio 2 with her dynamic piano performances with mesmerising vocals. Currently on tour around the UK, including prestigious appearances at the Royal Henley Regatta, The Big Festival and the BBC’s Carfest, Cecil is certainly one to watch and her talent is both immediately apparent and undeniable!

Providing support is K-Lanta. This Devon producer/songwriter duo are bringing the funk back in a big way! Fusing elements of Disco, 80s Synth, Pop, Funk and Motown, these guys are original and exciting and have been featured as a live session act for BBC Introducing, so let’s give them a big London welcome!

K.A. Smiley is a London based alt/pop act who is churning out ‘banger’ after ‘banger’! This latest project from the singer/songwriter, maybe fairly new to the scene, but is already turning heads with his Franz Ferdinand meets Bruno Mars sound.

Expect youthful floor fillers from Kent’s Michael King! He may be young, but he already knows how to craft a perfect pop song and this hasn’t gone unnoticed. He’s already received radio airplay on both side of the Atlantic, including on BBC Introducing.

Opening the show is Ollie James. Based in North West London, this fledgling songsmith specialises in acoustic, heartfelt pop, reminiscent of Tom Odell.
