Fairground jazz folk troubadours The Cloggz weave a rich textured tapestry of modern jazz, Balkan folk, big band, classical, latin and the carnival music of the circus to create a mighty swirl of pan-European celebration. The band deftly combines virtuoso musicianship, nimble improvisation and intricate ensemble playing to produce imaginative re-workings of such composers as Ennio Morricone, Tom Waits, John Williams and Brad Mehldau stunning original compositions and live shows that include elements of circus, dance and visual projections. Formed 5 years ago by Mark Edwards (Katie Melua, Dave Stewart, Paul Weller, Terry Callier, Carleen Anderson, Roddy Frame, Daryl Hall) The Cloggz have performed sell out shows at Brighton’s Emporium Theatre and The Old Market. They have also appeared at The Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Love Supreme Festival, Brighton Festival and The Other Palace, London. Their debut album “Sawdust and Spangles” was released to rave reviews and reached number 5 in the iTunes Jazz chart. It has also received much airplay on Radio shows such as Clare Teal’s Sunday show for BBC Radio 2.

“Engaging, wonderfully quirky, a coherent bridge between jazz and film music in a swaggering Kurt Weillish ambiance. One evocative mood after another”. Jazzwise Magazine; "When The Cloggz play it’s not so much a gig as a musical voyage. The result is mesmerizing" Brighton Argus
