After a string of performances including Isle of Wight?, Boardmasters and Sofar Sounds events?, Lloyd Llewellyn is achieving national and regional radio plays with just his initial demos, featuring on BBC Wales Introducing through to BBC Radio 6 Music with Tom Robinson?. Not just attaining the attention on his home shores but after his demos were heard on Soundcloud, Lloyd Llewellyn ?was flown out to Los Angeles by a respected music publishing company where he played a showcase at Hotel Café?. Deciding it was too early to sign a deal, Lloyd Llewellyn has been paving his own path; producing an acoustic video version of ‘Long Way Down’ with I Owe Youth (known for their videos for Rudimental?, Wolf Alice and Kwabs?); to writing with Carey Willets (Athlete & Leo Stannard?), Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes?) and Matt Benbrooks (Paolo Nutini, Jack Savoretti?). Now, with all these accomplishments under his belt, Lloyd Llewellyn is finally ready to pull back the curtains and make his first official release to the world with his debut ‘Long Way Down’?.

The clearly emotive single ‘Long Way Down’ slowly and subtly builds on the tremulous and distinctive voice of Lloyd Llewellyn?. Building into a slow crescendo of tumbling percussion, lone trumpets drift in throughout giving the single its peak and distinction among indie singer-songwriters. Inspired by his Grandad, Lloyd’s music is founded on an early passion for blues artists such as BB King?, Robert Johnson and Ray Charles?. Merging this with more contemporary influences such as Bon Iver?, Ben Howard?, and London Grammar?, Lloyd Llewellyn? has crafted a sound that when coupled with his distinctive vocals he is set apart from his peers.
