'Once more in the name of Love!’ Opera Loki brings passion and excitement with an exuberant return of Mozart's Don Giovanni.
Following a hugely successful tour in France, Opera Loki brings Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni to Covent Garden. This production, with a surprising twist in its tail, is not to be missed! Set in early 1970s Sicily, with the Mafia just out of hiding, Don Giovanni has seized the title of mafia boss. He seduces, lies and kills his way to get what, and who, he wants. The Don slowly descends further and further into depravity, ultimately being forced to face his demons in a spectacular finale of his own making.
Charitable opera company Opera Loki aims to bring performances in English to regional communities within intimate venues, making their productions ideal for first-time opera goers and seasoned opera lovers alike. The organisation provides a much-needed platform for early career artists and an exciting opportunity for audience members to see sizzling new talent up close.
