Fine art, printmaking and jewellery designs will form part of an MA Degree show at Middlesex University London.

Fifteen distinct international artists will be asking visitors to consider their perceptions of what we might have in common and how we might differ, presenting their works under the theme, Nothing in Common.

Curator of the degree show and Middlesex graduate, Maya Amrami said: “Our exhibition - Nothing in Common -reflects a diverse and dynamic range of artistic practices, methods and backgrounds informed by the intense studio research processes of the Masters programme.

“We’re so happy that we can now share our ideas, our inspirations, and our visual creativity with visitors from the local community as well as from the arts world, and also help enhance the wonderful reputation Middlesex University has in the arts and creatives industries.”

The exhibition includes works that range from art viewed through a virtual reality headset, collographs that were created in response to Hinkley Point nuclear power station, larger than life concrete sculptures with overtones of supplication and torture, and jewellery using natural, found materials that echo the neural system.
The artists hope that people from the local community as well as gallery owners and art commissioners will join them to view the exhibition.

Visitors wishing to join the artists for the private view on Thursday 14 September should contact Maya Amrami at [email protected] or Tansy Spinks at [email protected].
