Strictly Come Dancing judge and former Principle of the Royal Ballet, Darcey Bussell will lead you through her innovative Diverse Dance Mix Workout (DDMIX) in a free mass participation event on Wednesday 27th September, Paddington Recreation Ground.
The ‘Wake up and Work out’ session will kick start National Fitness Day, the session is open to all ages and abilities and will involve a full body aerobic workout which is based on a wide variety of different dance styles with easy-to-follow steps.
The day, co-ordinated by not-for-profit health body ukactive, encourages the nation to celebrate the fun and thrills of physical activity through a range of free events and activity sessions. Last year’s National Fitness Day got over one million people active across 18,000 events – making it the most active day of 2016 – with the aim to go even bigger this year.
Darcey will also be joined by stars from Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions programme, including Olympic silver medallist hurdler Colin Jackson and Olympic gold medallist Hockey player Alex Danson, who will both be taking part in the early morning workout.
