Alongside our archival holdings, we have a wonderful research library that is open to all visitors. It contains thousands of published sources that complement and support research into the archives. Starting with a brief introduction to the history of the collection, this talk will focus on the breadth of material within the library’s collection that can aide family history research at The National Archives. The session will be accompanied by a display of some of the books featured in the talk and the afternoon will be concluded with a behind the scenes visit to the library’s rare books room.
