Calling all culture vultures and history aficionados, the bespoke Discover Deptford history walk takes a spooky twist this Halloween! Experience a FREE guided 2-hour walk exploring the history of Deptford but this time with accompanying tales of ghostly, grizzly goings on and stories of Deptford Railway Station and Market Yard before it was re-developed. Learn why Peter The Great, Christopher Marlowe, Samuel Pepys, Victorian poverty-mapper Charles Booth and Tahitian servant Mydidee all visited Deptford and understand its rich multicultural and maritime history underpinning one of London’s most vibrant districts. Led by Sean Patterson, a RADA trained actor and walking tour guide with an MA in London Studies from QMUL, the FREE guided tour starts and ends at Deptford Market Yard, so walkers will be spoilt for choice for food and drink options, having worked up an appetite on the tour.

Show off your scary Halloween costume with the best dressed receiving a complimentary Tea Pot of Cocktail for two at Little Nan’s in Deptford Market Yard after the walk.
