London Design Festival: South East London Makers Showcase and 'Makers House'

South East London Makers Club returns for a second year as part of the London Design Festival. Celebrating the work of local designers and makers, the trail around the creative streets and studios of South East London will feature a mix of free exhibitions showcasing great British design and craft, free maker demonstrations, and workshops in wood making, screen printing, marbling and woodcarving. Deptford Market Yard will act as a hub during the design weekend and play host to a variety of the exhibitions, and a pop up ‘Makers House’ located on the carriage ramp. The Makers House will comprise a series of rooms, each exhibiting a curated edit of work by local designers (all available to purchase), a behind the scenes insight into the processes used to create and a series of interactive workshops throughout the weekend. The Yard’s own design shops will also exhibit graphic design (IYA Studio) and ceramics (Win & Ruby).
