LONDON, UK - September 2017 - We invite you to step back into the age of decadence and dance; relive the glamour of days gone by at The Waldorf Hilton.
Taking you back to the days of live bands and music halls, put on your dancing shoes and soak up the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel’s Tea Dance with a Charleston Twist.
Whether you’re looking for the chance to hit the floor, practice your moves or meet new people, The Waldorf Hilton’s dances are suitable for first timers, seasoned pros and everyone in between.
Hosted by professional dance duo and twin sisters, Jessica and Emily, aka “The Twin Swing”, the Tea Dance with a Charleston Twist is an experience you will never forget. Having performed at the Olympic Closing Ceremony in 2012, the sisters are fun, glamorous and cheeky.
Just like the hotel’s Traditional Afternoon Tea Dance, the Tea Dance with a Charleston Twist comes with plenty of tea, cake and dancing. However, this time Emily and Jessica throw in a little slice of Charleston – the first dance to transfer from the stage to the ball room.
Supported by The Berkeley Square Society Band, members of which are recognised as some of London’s finest instrumentalists, who have worked on more than 100 West End musicals between them. Expect all of the classics from the 1920s and 30s.
You’ll be kicking your legs and swinging your arms in no time.
The Waldorf Tea Dance with a Charleston Twist takes place in the beautiful and iconic Palm Court on Sunday 24th September from 2pm-5pm. £72 per person and includes dance lesson, afternoon tea and complimentary glass of Champagne.
Feel free to dress the part, with feather boas and long pearls welcomed.
