This is the UK’s largest digital rights conference, hosted by Open Rights Group.

ORGCon brings together academics, writers, lawyers, activists and others to discuss the digital rights issues of the day including killer robots, surveillance trends, fake news, age verification, privacy, online abuse and extremism.

The theme for ORGCon 2017 is the fightback begins. We'll be looking at how human rights are threatened by governments, corporations, among others, and how technology and the Internet can both enable and challenge those threats.

This will be the biggest ever ORGCon and we are expecting 1000 people to attend.

Speakers include Graham Lineham television writer, actor and director, Audrey Tang Hacker & Digital Minister for Taiwan, Jamie Bartlett Author and Demos, Nighat Dad Digital Rights Foundation Pakistan, Helen Lewis deputy editor of the New Statesman and Noel Sharkey PhD, DSc FIET, FBCS CITP FRIN FRSA Professor of AI and Robotics and Co-director of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics.

Digital rights are human rights and we think there is a big opportunity here for editorial around the event - especially with the high profile of the speakers.
