Join us in the Hall’s Elgar Room for a rare screening of 1952 film noir Clash By Night, showcasing a lesser known side of iconic American actress Marilyn Monroe.

Directed by Fritz Lang and also starring Barbara Stanwyck, Paul Douglas and Keith Andes, Clash by Night captures the stark realities of life in a Californian fishing village, with Monroe playing the role of happy-go-lucky fish cannery worker Peggy.

This event will also feature a post-film screening discussion on Marilyn Monroe, led by Oscar-winning producer Mia Bays, featuring internationally-acclaimed writer and Marilyn Monroe fan, Dr Jacqueline Rose.
