Opening gala and screening of 'The Fortress', followed by a Q&A with director Hwang Dong-hyuk and stars Lee Byung-hun and Park Hae-il. This is a chance to get a taste of the incredible variety of contemporary cinema from the Far East - oh, and to get to go to some glitzy film events. Win-win, right? We've got a run of tickets to the festival's opening gala, which is a screening of 'The Fortress' at Leicester Square Odeon. This highly anticipated period piece sounds very much like the Korean version of 'The Alamo': set in the seventeenth century, it follows the Qing dynasty's invasion of the Joseon Kingdom. As the king and his guardsmen retreat to the mountain fortress city of Namhansanseong, they're presented with two options: to negotiate, or to fight. After the screening, there'll be a Q&A session with director Hwang Dong-hyuk, stars Lee Byung-hun ('GI Joe: Retaliation') and Park Hae-il.
