Jamie is a versatile guitarist who is equally adept performing either jazz or rock with unnerving ease and it’s easy to see why he was won BBC Radio's "guitarist of the year competition" at the age of 19. As one of the most vibrant younger players on the London scene he has collaborated with artists such as Roisin Murphy, Mica Paris, Ed Drewett and Kid Creole but is probably best known her at the Club for his regular appearances here as the guitarist for vocalist Purdy. Recently he has also been increasingly active as an educator, presenting master classes for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the International Guitar Foundation and many music schools throughout the UK. Tonight Jamie has put together a special gig of "two halves". Supported by three quite brilliant musicians, Jim Watson on piano, Nick Walsh on bass and Chris Draper on drums he will showcase the "jazzier" side of his extensive repertoire in the first set, and then he will be inviting his special guests The London Horns - Barnaby Dickinson-trombone, Jim Knight-sax and George Hogg-trumpet to join him on the stand for a seriously "groove" based second set. Jamie has gone from strength to strength as a musician, composer and bandleader and it is with great pleasure that we once again welcome him back to the Club. This promises to be a brilliant night from one of the UK's most talented guitarists.

“McCredie's lead playing is dynamic and perfectly judged…excellent.” AllAboutJazz; “McCredie…cool guitarist” Time Out
