Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre (GLYPT) are excited to announce that indefinitearticles are bringing their show, ‘The Magic Lamp’ to The Tramshed as our annual Family Christmas Show, and our Community Performances are now open for booking!

Step inside a giant Bedouin tent where you will meet fantastical characters, explore enchanted treasure caves, visit opulent places and travel far across barren deserts.

Shadow puppets dance across beautifully crafted scenescapes accompanied by a mesmerising original soundtrack.

‘The Magic Lamp’ is told using a projector, lights, paper, cooking oil, coloured ink and shadow puppets.

Based on the original Iraqi folktale, ‘The Magic Lamp’ tells the tale of the boy with a mysterious past who discovers a magic lamp and finds true love, whilst vanquishing the demons of greed.
