A talented singer influenced by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, Jo Harrop performs a beautiful, straight-ahead set of classic jazz standards, perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Already highly experienced she includes performances at venues such as the Jazz Cafe, Pizza on the Park, St. Martins in the Fields and Momo's and has been featured on Courtney Pines' Radio 2 show 'Jazz Crusade'. For this gig Jo will be paying tribute to the great straight ahead musicians she holds dear as her personal favourites. As she puts it, she will be performing "a repertoire of swinging songs, inspired by the coolest jazz artists, Anita O’Day, Julie London, Barney Kessel, the Nat King Cole Trio & more….", featuring Harry Sankey-guitar, Will Barry-piano and Henry Gilbert-bass. Promises to be a wonderful afternoon for anyone who likes their jazz swinging and heartfelt.

"Jo Harrop held the audience in the palm of her hand from the first note, a sign that we were listening to something special... another ***** star evening" bebopspokenhere
