The third Monday in January, thought to be “Blue Monday”, is being turned on its head in Carnaby on Monday 15 January. Carnaby, in partnership with Samaritans, is hosting “Brew Monday” to celebrate the great tradition of getting together to chat over a cup of tea.

Last January, Samaritans volunteers helped a record number of individuals, listening for more than 62,000 hours. January can be a hard time after all the festive cheer of December, so from 8-11am on Monday 15 January, head to Carnaby’s Kingly Court for an al fresco community get-together, home to over 20 independent concept eateries.

Carnaby’s restaurants and cafés will be donating their tea and time to support the Samaritans Brew Monday campaign, coming together in the communal Kingly Court courtyard to serve their speciality hot drinks and treats. Try the latest Carnaby opening, The Good Egg, who will be serving homemade, freshly baked breads and cakes from their in-house bakery, or warm up with a Masala Chai from Darjeeling Express. Pizza Pilgrims will be opening up their kiosk to offer Italian espressos and traditional sfogilatelle pastries, enjoy a tea or coffee with a delicious brownie at Whyte & Brown, or you can opt for a fresh ‘Bright & Beautiful’ juice from The Detox Kitchen. All proceeds will go towards Samaritans Brew Monday campaign.

The Brew Monday campaign continues across the 14 streets of Carnaby, with support from SACRED Café with their loose leaf teas and gourmet coffees, Sweaty Betty’s Farm Girl café, who will be serving a fresh banana bread, and Jack Wills, where you can enjoy Square Mile coffee and toasties at their Espresso Hut café.
