January welcomes the return of Lumiere London and the award winning Winter Lights festival to brighten the dark wintry days. Marvel in both light festivals with London’s leading River Bus service, MBNA Thames Clippers (www.mbnathamesclippers.com) with 2-for-1 on adult River Roamer tickets available from 16-27 January.

Lumiere London returns with a bigger footprint across the capital for 2018. From 18-21 January, discover more than 40 UK and international artists reimagining London’s iconic architecture and streets with installations across London, including Southbank, Waterloo and Westminster.

Enjoy the lights of the Capital whilst gliding along the river to Westminster pier to experience ‘The Light of the Spirit’ at Westminster Abbey. French Digital artist Patrice Warrener’s second instalment at Lumiere London will bathe Westminster Abbey in colour and light. Hop back onboard to cross the Thames and hop off at London Eye pier; in nearby Leake Street artist Emma Allen displays her own face as a living canvas, transforming from a skull to a sky full of shooting stars.

To round it off, journey along to Canary Wharf and enjoy over 30 works of light art at Winter Lights festival, taking place from 16-27 January. The area will be a-glow with spectacular light effects and illuminating sculptures with something for everyone to enjoy.

MBNA Thames Clippers is London’s leading river boat service, connecting many of the capital’s top attractions and providing passengers with the chance to take in the iconic London skyline from the river along the way.
