This might not seem like a health-focused event but with the Fassone beef breed actually lower in fat and cholesterol than chicken, the much-loved Italian steak restaurant, Macellaio RC Union Street and its recently-launched Butchery Masterclasses make a perfect New Year New You event. The classes involve explanations on the different cuts and offer tips for handling and cooking your meat at home, as well as sourcing the perfect wines to match. Afterwards guests are introduced to their unique in-house dry-aging process and finally, with the guidance from the expert team, will have the opportunity to put everything they have learnt into practice. Following the masterclass, guests are invited to sit down for a three-course meal in the restaurant. The next class is scheduled for 6th February from 6.30 -9.30pm at Macellaio RC Union Street, but continue on an on-going basis.
