About the event

In the lead-up to International Women's Day, House of Vans is teaming up with all-female creative collective Gal-Dem to bring Hear Our Voices - a one-day takeover in support of diversity and in celebration of women from all walks of life.

Through celebrating the words and works of women of colour, Gal-Dem supports women in the UK who will be most affected by the government's proposed changes to domestic violence funding which will leave some refuges and services without funding.

For one Sunday only, film-maker Jade Jackman and the rest of Gal-Dem will fill the House of Vans gallery, cinema and music tunnels with a bespoke art show, curated talks & film screenings, a raffle and an independent street market.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Imkaan, the only UK-based, second-tier women's organisation dedicated to addressing violence against black minoritised women and girls.
