The Maydays present Happily Never After – Award-winning improvisers The Maydays present this skin-prickling tale full of black comedy and haunting music, inspired by the warped imaginations of Tim Burton, Lemony Snicket and the Brothers Grimm. Starting with your suggestion, The Maydays take you on a bone-chilling journey, meeting the grotesque and the innocent, weaving a fantastical story that’s different every time. Happily Never After is a favourite on the Edinburgh Fringe and has played to sell-out audiences across Europe.

‘Happily Never After is hilarious’ (Colin Mochrie, Whose Line is it Anyway?).
‘As funny as hell’ **** (Breaking-the-fourth-wall.com).
‘Certainly worthy of Burton’ (Chortle.co.uk).

PLUS…

Drum Machine is Jill Bernard’s one-person unscripted muscial featuring multiple characters in scenes, monologues and songs accompanied by a drum machine or in collaboration with a musician whenever possible. Typically the show opens by interviewing a member of the audience, and weaving details of their life into a historical period suggested by the audience.

Sonder (Sally Hodgkiss, Chris Mead and Emily Murphy) is an improvised theatre company. Formed in 2017, Sonder has a passion for improv that is heartfelt, committed and playful. The word ‘sonder’ means the realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. Sonder is fascinated by people: our lives, relationships and shared experiences, and is committed to telling meaningful, improvised stories with humanity at their heart.
