After a successful first ever Crick abseil in March 2017 the event is back - bigger and better, spread over two days and aiming to double the incredible £46k raised last year.
Join our unique abseil down one of the most striking recent additions to London's landscape, The Francis Crick Institute. Your participation can help us to raise much needed funds for the innovative research happening inside the building.
Situated in the heart of London, the Francis Crick Institute is a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary medical research institute. The Crick is a collaboration between six of the world’s leading medical research organisations, including Cancer Research UK, and brings together over 1,250 scientists from around the world.
On the Day
Participants will get to enjoy the views of the capital from the top of the Francis Crick Institute, before 'going over the top': a chance to enjoy London's skyline while suspended in mid-air. Fully trained and experienced instructors will be kitting you up and guiding you every step of the way (up the building and back down). All you have to do is keep your calm and soak up the views. Be sure to bring your friends and family along to take pictures and cheer you on.
Once you reach the bottom you’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief, collect your photos and enjoy a post event glass of bubbly to celebrate your achievement.
We strongly encourage each participant to raise a minimum of £250 to fund our ground breaking research and prizes will be given for the highest fundraisers. Participants that raise over £500 will be entitled to a limited edition CRUK sports bag and those that raise over £1,250 will also be invited to an exclusive event at the Crick itself later in 2018.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept registrations for under 18s for this event, and we are unable to accept registrations on the day.
