On Friday 27th & Saturday 28th April, the UK’s largest and oldest consumer wine tasting event, The Sunday Times Wine Club’s Vintage Festival, returns to Old Billingsgate, London. Crowned The Drinks Business Consumer Drinks Event of the Year*, those attending will be able to sample a brand-new selection of wines from across the globe, as well experience some novel ways to enjoy them.

This year’s event is hosted by world famous wine writer, Hugh Johnson OBE, Tom Laithwaite and TV’s ‘Mr. Wine’ Oz Clarke. Ticket holders can participate in Tasting in the Dark**; a pitch-black environment that forces guests to rely on their ears, nose, mouth and touch to taste their wine, while those feeling particularly adventurous can take a step into the historic riverside Le Chai au Quai winery in Bordeaux through virtual reality tours.

New to 2018 is an exciting opportunity to discover and taste a huge range a craft spirits through The Taste Tunnel. This tasting experience with a difference will bring guests face to face with exotic botanicals and exotic flavors – all the things that lend distinctive character to the nation’s favorite craft drinks.

With 90 winemakers who come to the UK for the event to share their wines and the stories behind them, 300 wines to sample from around the world all under one roof, artisanal food stalls from local suppliers and a barrel full of tasting theatres; this year’s festival is one not to miss.

Attendees have the option to upgrade their ticket to access the Fine Wine Room, where wine lovers will be able to taste wines from some of the world’s most famous vineyards, whilst enjoying a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the entire festival.
