Surfaced: Surface and Materiality in the Screen Environment

A group painting exhibition comprised of seven artists showing four works each. Its theme relates to how we engage with artwork in a screen based world. Is there an underlying pressure for artists to make work that is more screenable, quicker to apprehend, less concerned with scale and depth? Or, does this screen led environment reinvigorate the ‘real’ and the tactile?
