The Bloom Room at P.F. Chang's Asian Table

Spring has arrived in London and the perfectly pink Japanese Sakura flower, known as the cherry blossom, is in full bloom at P.F. Chang’s Asian Table. Located in the heart of the West End, the pan-Asian restaurant has launched The Bloom Room, a beautiful floral pop-up, running until the 30th April, that gives diners the chance to experience Hanami – the Japanese tradition of flower viewing.

The entire ground floor has been transformed into a cherry blossom haven, with shades of pinks and creams galore. Set to be one of the most ‘insta-worthy’ pop-ups of the season, the Bloom Room’s walls will be adorned with vibrant flowers, creating a picture-perfect space to relax. Guests can sip on limited edition cocktails and indulge in special Japanese desserts beneath a stunning canopy of florals. Reservations can be taken for a small number of tables for lucky guests to revel in the beauty of the Sakura flowers.

The talented bar team have created Cherry Blossom-inspired cocktails including the Sakura Dream (£12), a heavenly mix of vodka, pink grapefruit juice, guava juice and lemongrass. A mocktail version called the Sakura Cooler (£8) has been made sans vodka for teetotalers to enjoy.

Soak up the drinks with delicious handmade pan-Asian dishes, handmade from scratch and cooked in traditional Chinese woks at very high temperatures to enhance the rich flavours. Tuck into starters including the Original Dynamite Shrimp with spicy aioli; or lobster and shrimp spring rolls. For mains, favourites include Mongolian Beef – tender flank steak caramalised with soy sauce, garlic and spring onions; and the Kung Pao Chicken – wok-fried chicken breast with Sichuan chilli sauce, toasted peanuts and red chilli pods.

Indulge your sweet tooth with the limited-edition Cherry Blossom Cheesecake (£7.50) an exquisite no bake Sakura-inspired dessert with hints of citrus, rose and cherry blossoms or go for the Pink Paradise (£7) – a large macaroon filled with fresh raspberries and matcha ganache with rose ice cream.

The Bloom Room is open Monday – Sunday 6.30pm until close. Tables are reservation only, guests must reference Bloom Room when booking.
