Absent Kelly Presents Indie Cafe: Amber Lights

Line Up: Amber Lights, Captain Crash & the Magic Hats, Crayon Ray, Ed Gibson

Promoters Absent Kelly bring another Indie Café show to Brick Lane’s Café 1001 this May.

Topping the evening’s bill is Bristol based Amber Lights. This quartet play alternative indie, moving from rousing feel good anthems, to building ambient numbers, reminiscent of The National. This compelling sound has seen them bag slots at famous local venues including The Fleece and The Louisiana.

Captain Crash & the Magic Hats are a Hampshire based outfit who play laid back, nostalgic indie. They mix elements of blues, folk and psychedelia to create their distinctive signature sound that is highly infectious.

Crayon Ray will be providing support. Crayon Ray have a unique sound, blending elements of psych and raga, layered with rich harmonies that has seen them play legendary indie venues including the Dublin Castle and the Fiddler’s Elbow.

Brighton based singer songwriter Ed Gibson will be there too. Ed’s catchy acoustic indie pop is seeing him play all over the country and win Portsmouth’s 'Singer and the song' competition.
