In a celebration of past and future through the medium of art, Camden Market continues with its series of cultural events that nurture up and coming talent, hosting a seven day, immersive pop up gallery. Taking its title from the Hebrew translation for landscape, ‘Nof’ will fuse past with future, showcasing contemporary British and Israeli artists, alongside an exclusive private collection of museum standard works by Israeli old masters.

The exhibition, ‘Nof’ will span across the creative mediums of paint, video, installation, sculpture and photography. In keeping with the theme of old and new, the contemporary artists’ works will be set against the recently restored Grade 2 listed Provender Building, donated by the Market as a platform to showcase the works.

Doron Polak, international curator of over 300 exhibitions and specialising in unusual or unexpected gallery spaces as put together the exhibition. Polak, also an artist himself, has an on-going passion for recycling creatively - previous projects have included working with an orphanage in India to create a sculpture garden of recycled materials, and recycling old power plants, converting them into galleries in Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv. “I want to convince people of all ages, businesses and organisations to use the creative process to change mindsets and policies. Camden Market is a hub of international creativity and it has an audience who are passionate about ethical and sustainability issues. It therefore seemed the perfect destination for this project.”

The week long pop up will see 36 artists aim to inspire, stimulate and engage Londoners, art enthusiasts and novices alike. Select pieces will be available for sale.
